How to download Instagram Reels as MP4
Instagram Reels are easy to watch and hard to keep. If you want a public Reel offline — for inspiration, travel memories, or later viewing — ReelDownloader can turn the share link into an MP4 file in under a minute.
Before you start
- The Reel must be public
- You need the full share URL
- No Instagram login is required in ReelDownloader
Step 1: Copy the Reel link
Open the Reel in the Instagram app or website. Tap the paper-plane share icon, then choose Copy link. A good link looks like https://www.instagram.com/reel/XXXX/.
Step 2: Paste it into ReelDownloader
Go to the ReelDownloader downloader, paste the URL, and click Download. On mobile you can use the Paste button if clipboard access is allowed.
Step 3: Save the MP4
When the preview appears, tap Download video. Desktop browsers send the file to your Downloads folder. On iPhone or Android, open the browser downloads list or Files app.
Troubleshooting
If ReelDownloader cannot fetch the Reel, confirm the link opens in a private/incognito window without logging in. Private, deleted, or restricted Reels will fail. More help is in the FAQ.
